The biggest draw here is the 20-minute walk to the lake (evident from the “Upper Beaches” tag on Upper Beach Townes complexes near Main and Gerrard). The Ted Reeve Arena and the East City YMCA have solid recreation programs, and Malvern Collegiate Institute has a top-notch English program as well as a slew of famous alumni (Glenn Gould, Norman Jewison, Alex Trebek, Kiefer Sutherland, Keanu Reeves). The trees are mature here, and Gerrard and Kingston are both fairly quiet through this stretch.
